Addressing Evri’s Parcel Delivery Problems
Over Christmas, many residents contacted me about parcels going missing or being delivered to the wrong address by Evri. I know how stressful this was for people trying to replace items or cover costs in time for the holidays, and it was clear that these issues were affecting households across the area.
In response, I wrote to Evri’s CEO urging urgent action to address these problems. While the company acknowledged the pressures of high seasonal demand and staff shortages, key concerns around delivery accuracy and proof of delivery had not been fully addressed.
Since then, I have continued to raise individual cases on behalf of constituents, pressing Evri to ensure parcels are delivered safely and reliably. This process has highlighted how delivery problems can impact people’s day-to-day lives, particularly during busy periods like Christmas, and reinforced the importance of companies taking responsibility for their services at both an operational and local level.
