After years of parts of our town being overlooked, the government has announced a major investment in Poole.

Through the Pride in Place Programme, I have secured £20 million of long-term funding for Hamworthy West and Turlin Moor, spread over the next ten years. That means £2 million every year dedicated to improving the area.

This is a government initiative led by the people and supported by me, your local MP.

Everyone has the opportunity to get involved. Whether it’s sharing ideas for improvements, becoming part of the Neighbourhood Board, or even volunteering to help on community projects. You can help shape the future of Hamworthy West and Turlin Moor.

This is our chance to shape a stronger, safer, fairer neighbourhood - together.

How the funding works:

Hamworthy West and Turlin Moor will receive £20 million over 10 years, this could be used for:

  • Cleaning up high streets and tackling empty shops

  • Creating or improving parks, play areas and green spaces

  • Setting up community sports leagues

  • Saving local pubs, libraries or community centres

  • Installing CCTV to tackle antisocial behaviour

  • Improving leisure facilities and youth services

  • Strengthen the organisations and groups that bring our community together

  • Support projects that create jobs and opportunities locally

These are just some examples of how the money could be spent across Hamworthy West & Turlin Moor. If you have any ideas about where the money could be spent, more information will be released shortly.
