Hosting a National Emergency Briefing Screening

It was fantastic to see more than 100 people from local and national organisations come together at Lighthouse Poole in June for a screening of the National Emergency Briefing. I was also proud to be the first MP to host a screening of the briefing.

The film, presented by Deborah Meadon and Chris Packham, features footage from last November’s National Emergency Briefing, which brought together leading experts in climate science, food security, health, economics, national security, and nature. The initiative is explicitly non-partisan and is supported by a wide range of organisations including National Trust, Church of England, Exeter University, the Royal Meteorological Society, WWF, National Education Union, and many more.

It shows what the future could look like if we don’t take action to address the climate and nature crisis. We can’t sit back and ignore these issues anymore, and I hope the government will agree to show the film nationally.

Keep up to date with what I’m up to in Poole and Parliament:
