Socialism 26 -A programme for change inside the Labour Party

I’ve launched Socialism26 with my friend Chris Hinchliff, supported by colleagues across our Labour and trade union movement.

Socialism26 sets out a programme to raise living standards here in Poole: strengthening workers’ rights to put more money in your pockets, delivering justice for WASPI women and introducing emergency measures to get energy bills down.

We’re also calling to ditch plans to curtail jury trials, attack the right to protest, and unfair changes to indefinite leave to remain. Nobody voted Labour for a less free, more cruel and authoritarian country.

Poole voted Labour for change. As your MP, I’ve been at the forefront of trying to deliver that change - I was previously suspended by Labour for fighting back on winter fuel and disability benefits cuts.

Now is the time to get off the back foot and set out a vision for Poole and our country: the homes you need, real action on the cost-of-living crisis and a thriving high street for local small businesses.
